mess.....i just was dumped by evie......and we just
took off.....atleast that's how i remember it....and
arrived at the land....where about 10 people were
already living in a teepee with a small cookshack next
to it.....i don't believe anyone had migrated
yet.....and i remember perusha, rose, and i think
there was juanita...mary jo....possibly
malcom......and a couple others....bill and winter
were my connection to the land.....and i believe they
had begun their tree house condo early on.....i
remember playing 'why must i be a vegatarian in love'
to purusha.....and he got a kick out of it.....i
remember mark and i building cabins across from each
other....mine was built around a tent...and as time
went on i built a bigger better one that the racoons
enjoyed mulling under.....and mark and i would play
endless chess games.....and then there was the
airstream trailer next to the barn where silver and
arturo lived....and my cousin jerry moved up
there....and sara...and a few others arrived in a
voiceless van.....and peter music wrote a book about
my daughter.....because evie and zem moved to the
land.....and george and kathy and tommy moved to the
land.....and donna lee moved to the land.....and robyn
moved to the land.....and fran.....and john
peck.....who loved dohnna.....and was my carpenter
guru......moved to the land.....and bill and winter
installed an elevator in the tree house.......and
diddle and snorkel moved to the land....and bea and
gary moved to the land......and leslie and obie moved
to the land.......and gay and leonard moved to the
land........and bill and winter installed a drawbridge
near their tree house for shits and giggles......and
michael ward and jody and susan moved to the
land........and bill and winter started collecting
taxes from all of us.......and then the fire burned
the cookshack.....and somehow all the cows
disappeared......and bill and winter opened a mini
mall across the road.........and buses and vans
arrived.....and they came to the land....and friday
nights we would play music in the long house....which
in retrospect wasn't as long as the barn was
wide....and bill and winter built an airplane....and
as people came....people left......and as people
left...struggle grew......and patsy came to the
land....(very little of this is in actual order of
arrival) except for the part about me and mark....and
phillipe came to the land....and bill and winter
installed a cellphone tower........and of course oak
came to the land..........and so many others whose
names i can't remember.....i have trouble remembering
the days of the week......and judy and rain.....and
beeger.......and cody and lily......jodi who lived up
the meadow.....and mark would cook breakfast....even
though he was taller than me........and then it was
gone.........bill and winter took everything with them
and sold most of the shit on
ebay......pre-internet.........and i moved to
l.a....and sold out and eventually got clean....18
years ago.......but wish i could go back to the night
i arrived at the land...
today i have kids 38, 36.....and 24.......david, zem and
emily.......6 grandkids 14, 11, 8, 5, 3 and 1....justin,
autumn, tristen, dylan, zoe and eden....i'm nearly 58
and if i knew it was going to last this
long.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......i am married to
nemaura...from brazil.....since 2000......and we have
an insane papillion named tuffy......

Take One
i discovered the land quite by accident.....i was eating fried lactose in the garden of garaway....and lo and behold.....a tap on my shoulder....and a flick from a wand sent me reeling to a meadow, with a teepee and cook shack....tarantulas and cows.....rattlesnakes and book clubs....millions of chess games.....sherlock holmes, the trilogy 6x's over and then the cocaine....if i only knew that i was destined to live this long......things would have been sooooooooooo different....oh well....thank the lard for guitars and the long house band......(and yes, i meant the lard)..........it's my southern roots.....and by the way......has anyone heard from sara wooley?......i know she loved a guy named bob from surrey england.....i just wondered if anyone kept in touch.....so jody that's what it was like for me........and this would be as good a place as any to apologize for any wrongs i committed along the way....i knew not what i was......and i was not what i knew.............billy bonzini.....(the flying dwarf)
